Relief for Wildfire Evacuees Supported by Wasteland Foundation

Your donation will support all evacuees, and in particular those First Nations communities whose sense of place, home and safety has been lost due to the wildfires in Northwestern Ontario on July 15 2026. Evacuees are transiently seeking shelter, food, comfort and basic necessities while navigating loss and relocations to hotels between Thunder Bay and Toronto. Amidst and despite the climate crisis, there is continued budget cuts to emergency fire response funds and a continued push for expansion of harmful economic developments. This is evidently causing an upward trend in wildfires and environmental disasters layered on the continued control over First Nations Lands which threatens the health of the environment, human wellbeing, loss of culture, belonging and stewardship. It is essential we come together to provide relief.
